Website Launch Cute or Funny Horse Photo Competition


New website launch!  “If your photo gives us an ‘Ahhh’ or a laugh, you are in with a chance!”

We are looking for cute or funny photographs of your horse which show originality and  amuse us.

To mark the launch of Devon Haylage’s new website we are offering you the chance to win free bales of Haylage plus a chance for your photo to appear on our website.

Prizes are: 1st place - win 15 bales of Haylage and your photograph will appear on our website’s slideshow for a minimum of 1 month. 2nd place - win 10 bales of Haylage and your photograph will appear on our website. 3rd place - win 5 bales of Haylage and your photograph will appear on our website.

By entering this competition you automatically agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. This competition is open to those over 16 years of age only.  2. The competition is open to UK residents only (including residents of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man). Employees of Devon Haylage as well as their immediate families are not eligible to enter. 3. Images may be digitally enhanced to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated.  Entrants can enhance the picture to make it brighter, clearer etc, but not manipulate the content. Devon Haylage reserve the right to exclude any image they believe may have been excessively treated so as to alter its authenticity. 4. Entrants must not be professional photographers and, for the purposes of this competition, a professional photographer will be considered to be someone who makes more than half their annual income from the sale of their photographs. 5. All entries must be the original work of the entrant and must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries, or their parents/guardian if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs. 6. Prior to submission, entrants must not have offered any of their entries for sale, been paid for any publication of any of their entries, or won or been a runner-up in any other photographic competition with any of their entries. 7. Full contact details as requested must be provided to retrieve the prize. (Entries without full details will not be eligible to enter the competition). 8. Photographs must be submitted electronically as a jpeg file, 72dpi, and less than 5 meg. Any other specification cannot be used and will be deemed not eligible to be entered into the competition. 9. The closing date for entries is midnight on 31st January 2013. Any entries received after this time will not be counted. 10. Devon Haylage cannot accept any responsibility for any problem with the email service which may result in any entry being lost or delayed. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. 11. Entries will be judged on their originality, composition and technical ability. 12. Judging will be carried out by Devon Haylage. The Judge’s decision is final. 13. There are no cash alternatives to the prize which can only be given to the winner. 14. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided. 15. By entering, all entrants accept that their photograph may be displayed on the Devon Haylage website should Devon Haylage decide to do so, but that there is no guarantee of this happening. Devon Haylage reserves the right to decide which entries will be displayed on the website and which will not. 16. Those entries in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be notified, and the prizes of 15, 10 and 5 free bales will be available for collection from Devon Haylage. Delivery to the nearest Cornwall Farmers, Mole Avon, Mole Valley Farmer or Scat stockist may be able to be arranged, but cannot be guaranteed. 17. The winners must collect their prize within 28 days otherwise we reserve the right to withdraw the prize. 18. If the 1st, 2nd or 3rd placed entries are unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, Devon Haylage reserves the right to offer the prize to a runner-up. 19. By entering, winners automatically agree to their name being shown as a winner on the Devon Haylage website and that photograph being displayed on the Devon Haylage website for a minimum of one month. 20. Entrants will retain copyright in the photographs that they submit to Devon Haylage.  By entering the competition, all entrants grant to Devon Haylage, the right to publish and exhibit their photographs on the Devon Haylage website.  No fees will be payable for this use.  While we make every effort to credit the photographs with the name of the photographer, we cannot guarantee that every use of the photograph will include the photographer’s name. 21. By entering, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to these rules and Devon Haylage reserves the right to exclude any entry from the competition at any time and in its absolute discretion if Devon Haylage has reason to believe that an entrant has breached these rules. 22. Devon Haylage reserves the right to cancel this competition or change any of the rules at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
